Okay, my plans:

A bunch of the same things this week. My core curriculum is the same, and we are switching out our centers to my Apple Unit.

Working on beginning sounds, students will identify the picture and the beginning sound, then write it on their response sheet.

This center students will match the Uppercase Apples and Lowercase Pies. Then find the correct box, and write the lowercase in the box.

Look at those cute apples with seeds, students will draw a card, count the seeds and write it on their recording sheets.

The students match the ten frame to the number and fill in the ten frame on the response sheet.

I take 3 apples, cut one up, peel on and leave one whole. Everyday we measure them in a balance with unifix cubes and record the weight.
I have gotten a lot of questions about this on my FB page. I take 3 apples, cut one up, peel on and leave one whole. Everyday we measure them in a balance with unifix cubes and record the weight. Such an awesome activity to do! The kids LOVE it!

How about a little freebie for this nice Sunday afternoon! A flow map of the life cycle of an apple! Click the picture to head over to TpT to download this freebie!!

I am going to try to post tomorrow on some goodies I received from Lakeshore!

Peek at my Week

I promise I post more than just on Sundays  (Okay maybe that is a lie Winking smile )I try to post more, but being in Grad School, preparing to present and teaching, takes up a lot of time, and something has to fall to the back burner. But I am on FB a lot, so follow me over there to learn about great deals, and to get a laugh or two!

Anyway, I am taking a peek at my week with Mrs. Wills!

Happy Sunday

Hi Friends! I am sorry I have not been around recently! I have had strep and home visits this week, on top of school starting tiredness!!

I promised the other day when I did the classroom pictures that I would come back with a view of my entire classroom. I am standing in the middle of my room.

Slide5

Here is my computer, the “turn in tree”, mail boxes and the computer station.  Also now there is a road carpet where the blocks go and the empty sensory table. (I know I need to use it!)

Slide1

Then you turn slightly and you have my red and yellow tables, the writing center, my big books and my supply area. You can also see where I am going to keep track of my ball words.

Slide2

Then to the right of my writing table, you can see my library. It has lots of comfy places to read. There is also where I keep my level books, it is hiding behind my table storage spots.

Slide3

There is my dorky husband. I wish he was always in my classroom Smile But this is my Guided reading table, which doubles as my blue table. You can also see my green table in the front.Slide4

Here you can see my cubbies (they are a mess don’t look to close!) You can see how I use the top two rows here. There is my easel and my rocker is there now.

Presentation4

Here is my focus wall. My smart board, my little bulletin board where I have my I Can statements. Also that tree right now holds my “Top Bananas” but will hold vocabulary when we start to focus more on math vocab.

I have another post that is more little things here  that you can go take a look at. Then here is a post that better explains how my room is organized for the little darlings here.

Before I head out, I wanted to share a couple of things that I have been working on.
