I have sat and watched the news since I have been home. I have done nothing but cry. I can only imagine the fear that was felt in that building.

I know I look at 24 sets of parents in August and tell them, “Your child is safe with me, I will protect them like they are my own”  That is why Kaitlin Roig’s quote brings me to tears, because she did everything she could to protect her babies. 

"If they started crying, I would take their face and tell them, 'It's going to be OK,'" Roig continued. "I wanted that to be the last thing they heard, not the gunfire in the hall."

My prayers are being lifted to the family and communities in Newtown.
